Fresh figs from our own trees are picked at just the right ripeness to make this traditional, delicious jam. Only sugar and lemon juice are added.
Although it is a favorite on toast, this jam can be used for so many other things. Sautee onions and garlic, add balsamic vinegar and stir in fig jam to use as a topping on chicken or pork. Also pairs well with goat or blue cheese. Use crostini, rye bread or crackers topped with goat cheese, fig jam and a slice of prosciutto to wow your family and friends. For dessert, drizzle on ice cream or yogurt, or use as a filling for tarts.
