This is such an easy, delicious, healthy meal. Just heat and serve. A great alternative to regular chili minus the meat.
We use rehydrated red kidney beans (so that the beans stay firm, not mushy), rich tomato sauce with sweet peppers, onions and spices. This chili does have a bit of heat but you can add more seasoning if you prefer it hot.
Use as a base for Chili Con Carne. Just brown some ground meat then pour the vegetarian chili over it. Heat and serve. No need to add any spices - everything is already in the jar. Can also be added to a stew.
