Fresh, whole, pitted Bing cherries are used in this delicious treat. We pack them in a syrup made with brown sugar, rum, vanilla, cinnamon and cloves to give it a warm rich flavor.
You can eat these right out of the jar, use as a topping for ice cream or yogurt, mix in a smoothie, or add the syrup to a mixed drink.
Don't waste the syrup! To create a rich dessert, pour the contents into a saucepan, separately mix a little corn starch or flour with some water, and pour it into the saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil and you have a thick, creamy topping for a cheesecake, pound cake, or tarts. Yum.
