Thought to be the original 'Adam and Eve' apple, this 'antique' fruit has almost disappeared from our area. Fortunately, we have our own quince trees. This unusual fruit is a cross between a yellow apple and a pear. Almost inedible raw, but when cooked it has a sweet, mild, floral flavour. This fruit starts off yellow in colour and the longer it simmers, the more pink it gets. A real treat. 250ml.
